A quince in Dallas for 150 guests comes to about $21,600 all in at typical prices, about $2,200 under the national number of about $23,800. The eight big things make up about $15,300 of that.
How much does a quinceañera cost in Dallas?
A quince in Dallas or Fort Worth for 150 guests comes to about $21,600 all in at typical prices. The eight big things, which are the hall, food, her dress, the DJ, photo and video, the cake, decorations and the Mass, make up about $15,300 of that. The rest is the smaller stuff that adds up fast: the choreographer, invitations, hair and makeup, favors, the limo and the padrino gifts like her tiara and Bible.
That's about $2,200 under the national number. Across the US, the same quince runs about $23,800 in Su Quince's price data. Dallas saves on food and decorations. The typical food price DFW caterers post is about half the national number, and the typical decorations cost about a third of it. The hall, the DJ, the cake and the Mass cost a little more in Dallas. One catch: DFW caterers post their food before staff and the tip, which can add 20% to 45%. Even with that added, Dallas still comes in under.
I didn't want to guess, so I looked up what Dallas and Fort Worth businesses actually charge. I used the prices halls, caterers, DJs, photographers, bakeries, decorators and parishes post on their own pages and listings, and I checked every one in November 2026. For the smaller extras I used Su Quince's price data for Dallas-Fort Worth. Two lines have less behind them than the rest: her dress and the Mass. I explain both below. Every source is linked at the bottom.
| Part | Low | Typical | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hall | $2,250 | $4,000 | $6,700 |
| Food for 150 (about $10 to $26 a guest, before staff and tip) | $1,500 | $3,000 | $3,900 |
| Her dress (estimate) | $800 | $1,475 | $2,475 |
| DJ | $950 | $1,600 | $3,000 |
| Photo and video | $1,500 | $3,000 | $6,000 |
| Cake (about $5 to $8 a slice) | $350 | $900 | $1,200 |
| Decorations | $350 | $660 | $2,500 |
| Mass (church fees) | $575 | $700 | $850 |
| Total | $8,300 | $15,300 | $26,600 |
Why is the range so wide?
If you picked the lowest price I found for each of the eight big things, you'd be around $8,300. The top of the market is about $26,600. But be careful with the low end. The lowest food prices are for the food alone, before staff and the tip, and $1,500 for photo and video buys you one or the other, not both. A low price that leaves out the tables, the linens or the cleanup fee isn't really low. Before you compare prices, find out exactly what you're buying.
What does each part cost in Dallas?
- Hall: hall rentals start around $2,250 in Grand Prairie. Most of the Saturday rates I found run $3,700 to $5,000, and one Dallas event center prices its quince ballroom at $3,400 to $4,000.
- Food: Tex-Mex caterers post about $10 to $26 a guest for the food. Staff and a 20% to 22% tip usually add another 20% to 45%.
- Her dress: this one is my estimate, not a DFW price. I couldn't find a single Dallas or Fort Worth shop that posts its gown prices, so I used a Houston quince shop's posted range of $798 to $2,478. Take my number as a starting point, and ask when you go in.
- DJ: packages start near $950. The middle of the market is about $1,600 for four to six hours with lights.
- Photo and video: $1,500 buys one or the other. Photo and video together start near $3,000.
- Cake: most DFW bakeries post $6 a slice for buttercream and $8 for fondant.
- Decorations: a balloon backdrop starts around $350. Balloon centerpieces plus a garland for 15 tables run about $660, and full-room decor companies start near $1,500.
- Mass: I found only two parishes in the area that post a full fee: $575 to $775 at St. Philip in Pleasant Grove, and $700 to $850 at St. Jude in Allen. Ask your parish for its list.
Is there an all-in package in Dallas?
If this were my family, I'd still ask every hall whether it has a quince package. Just don't expect as many as in Houston. I found no DFW hall that posts one price for the hall, food, DJ and cake together. The closest was a Fort Worth event center that lists packages from $4,500 for 100 guests without saying what's in them. Ask once, in writing, for that list before you compare it with anything.
What isn't in the $15,300?
- The smaller extras, about $6,300 at typical DFW prices: the choreographer (about $950), mariachi or other live music (about $850), the limo (about $850), a photo booth, favors, hair and makeup, invitations, her shoes, and the padrino gifts like the tiara, the last doll and her Bible and rosary (about $440 together).
- Staff, the tip and sales tax on the food. Staff and the tip alone usually add 20% to 45% to the food line.
- The court's outfits. Each dama's and chambelán's family usually pays for their own, about $2,300 for a court of 14.
The mistake I see most
Losing track. One caterer's quote includes staff and the tip and the next one doesn't, a deposit comes due before you remember it, or a padrino offers to cover the cake and nobody writes it down. A $20 food price for 150 guests is $3,000, and staff and the tip can take it past $4,000. The families who don't get surprised are the ones who keep every quote, deposit and due date in one place and always know where their total stands.
Rosa's tip: ask every hall for its Friday and Sunday price. In DFW, a full Friday at the same hall can cost $500 less than a Saturday, and that money pays for about half the cake.
